Women in Softball: Growing, Leading, Empowering


An opportunity to learn from the best, and interact with experts, executives and members from across the province.

For the second part of our virtual summit series we are highlighting some amazing expert women in sports who will touch on many important topics to help us all come together to grow as a supportive and inclusive community. 


As the event's purpose is to highlight the importance of leading women in the softball community, all the presentations will be lead by amazing women in our sports world.

This will be part two of our three-part of our Zoom virtual summit series!

Lesley Rowe

Member Benefits Coordinator

Softball BC

Lesley will be the moderator of the event, guiding us through all the amazing speaker presentations. She has been with softball BC for 12 years where she first started as an Admin Assistant, then moved to Executive Assistant and now she is Softball BC’s Member Benefits Coordinator, as well as the Marketing and Communications Manager. She was the PSO Rep at the 2016 and 2018 BC Summer Games and filled the role of Assistant Provincial Advisor for the 2020 Games prior to their cancellation. Lesley also participated in the Women in Leadership Program as a mentee in 2018 with the Women in Leadership Foundation. She connects with the sport of softball not only by working with Softball BC but through her daughter who has played and coached for the past 15 years.

The Virtual Summit Experience

This is the second of our three-part virtual summit series. We will be hosting the virtual event LIVE through Zoom where you will have the chance to not only watch expert presentations, but interact with the presenters and fellow attendees. 

 

The summit will be 9:00am - 3:00pm (PST), with interactive features and breaks to keep you learning, engaged and having fun!

Starting off the morning and then the afternoon are empowering female speakers in the sports industry, discussing gender equity and how to coach girls vs. boys.

 

Breakout Presentations + Q&A

There will be two breakout presentation sessions where we hold 3 presentations on varying topics. As a participant, you get to choose which presentation you would like to attend in each session!

 

Breakout Sessions 

Here you will breakout into groups to discuss the key takeaways from the day with fellow attendees. Network with fellow executives from across the province!

Can’t decide on which breakout presentation to attend? Don’t stress, recordings of the live sessions will be accessible after the event giving you a chance to review and re-watch!
