Michelle Webster is a graduate from Kansas Wesleyan University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sport Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. While in Kansas, Michelle was a catcher for the KWU Coyotes Women’s Softball Team and upon completion of her collegiate playing career began her coaching career there first as an Assistant Coach and then as Head Coach. During 2005 to 2008, Webster served as the bullpen catcher for Team Canada at both the Pan Am Qualifier and World Championship.
Michelle coached Team BC to a gold medal finish at the 2014 North American Indigenous Games and just out of medal contention at the 2017 North American Indigenous Games in Toronto. For the last three years Michelle has served the Kelowna Minor Fastball Association as both a Head Coach and a Technical Director. Michelle is a veteran instructor for Beyond the White Lines Softball and assistant coach for the Canada Futures collegiate experience team. She is a certified Competition Introduction coach through the NCCP.
In 2017 Webster was named Head Softball Coach of Zone 2 and finished with a silver medal at the 2018 Cowichan BC Summer Games. In 2018 Michelle received recognition as both Coach of the Year from Softball B.C. and City of Kelowna Sport Hero.
Michelle is a member of the Namgis First Nation and currently the Interior Regional Coordinator for the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council as well as a board member of both the BC Games Society and Pacific Sport Okanagan.
