Sam Cosentino is a Junior Hockey Analyst for Rogers Sportsnet. Growing up loving baseball and hockey, his passion for sports landed him a job as a bat boy with the Toronto Blue Jays during high school. Afterwards, Cosentino attended Spring Arbor College in Michigan on a baseball scholarship and pursued broadcasting during the off-season. In 2003, he accepted a position to be a commentator for the Canadian Baseball League which led to a job as the Play-by-Play announcer for the Montreal Expos in 2004. In his career, Cosentino has also broadcast games in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), the American Hockey League (AHL) and in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was also the commentator for the Women’s Ice Hockey Gold Medal game between the United States and Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Currently, Costentino enjoys following hockey’s up and coming talent and being part of the success of the CHL on Rogers Sportsnet.
